Ever wondered what to do with the wine club leftovers?

Not the wine! because there obviously wouldn't be any of that leftover, but the food!

 

Preparation:

Preheat oven 180 degrees C (160 fan forced).
Grease baking dish.

 

Ingredients:

500g bread - cubed
200g cheese - grated (or chopped)
4 eggs - lightly beaten
3 cups milk
1-2 teaspoons dijon mustard
200g "mixture" (eg. roasted tomatoes, caramalised onions, salami, etc)

 

Method:

Sprinkle half of bread into prepared dish.
Sprinkle over the "mixture" .
Sprinkle over half the cheese.
Top with remaining bread.
Mix together eggs, milk & mustard.
Season and pour into dish.
Allow to stand for 20 minutes.

Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until puffed and golden.
(cover with foil if browning too quickly).

Allow to stand 10 mintues before serving.
Can be eaten hot or cold.
